Sequel to Schatjes! (Little Darlings). Terror in modern family life. This time the parents take on each other, using all kinds of tools, from machine gun to chainsaw. Warfare between parents and children has given way to warfare between the parents.Dutch Director Ruud Van Hemert had a smashing hit with Schatjes! (1984) in Holland so that a sequel became inevitable. Almost the entire cast is back in Mama Is Boos , again directed by Van Hemert. This time, it is not the kids who raise hell, but the war is between the parents John (Peter Faber) and Danny (Geert DeJong). Their kids are caught up in their fight when John returns to his girlfriend Jane. Mama Is Boos is certainly in the same league as Schatjes and was again a huge success in Holland, compare it with box-office movies like Flodder . I saw it several times throughout the years and I still love it. It is Holland's Glory at his best. For those who never saw it (since it is a Dutch movie after all): check it out if you get the chance.
